How to Make

Ingredients
1 cup
1 Cup Birch Benders Gluten Free Pancake Mix
10 to 12
Small Baking Apples, Such as Braeburn or MacIntosh
3 tbsp
Cinnamon
1/4 cup
Granulated Sugar
2 tsp
Lemon Juice
6 tbsp
Butter, Cubed, Cold
1/4 cup
Brown Sugar
2 tbsp
Cinnamon
1 tsp
Ground Cloves
1 tsp
Ground Nutmeg
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F, and lightly grease a 9×13 baking pan.
  2. Core and slice apples.
  3. In a large bowl, toss apple slices with cinnamon, granulated sugar and lemon juice.
  4. In a second bowl using a pastry cutter or two forks, combine Birch Benders, brown sugar, spices and butter, until reduced to small clumps. The goal is to coat each grain with butter, to form a crust.
  5. Place apples into baking pan. Cover with crust.
  6. Bake 50 minutes, and let cool 8 to 10 minutes before serving.
Delicious with french vanilla ice cream.
