How to Make


For Tartar Sauce:

1/2 cup
2 tbsps
Sweet Green Relish
2 tbsps
Lemon Juice
Salt and Pepper, to taste

For Shrimp

For Shrimp:
  1. In a heavy bottomed sauce pot or dutch oven, heat peanut oil to 375°.
  2. Rinse and pat dry shrimp.
  3. Place Birch Benders and buttermilk into separate shallow bowls or dishes.
  4. Working in batches, coat shrimp in pancake mix, dip in buttermilk and repeat.
  5. Place coated shrimp carefully into hot oil.
  6. Let fry about 2 to 3 minutes, until the outside is a light golden color, and shrimp is fully cooked.
  7. Remove from oil and place on paper towel lined plate.
  8. Let cool a few moments before digging in!
  For Tartar Sauce:
  1. Whisk together all ingredients, set in refrigerator while cooking shrimp.
Sauce can be made up to 24 hours in advance.
