Job Description

The Senior Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of third-party manufacturers and driving process improvement within the organization. The candidate will report to the Vice President of Operations. The responsibilities of this role will fall into three categories:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Contract Manufacturing Management - 40%
• Plan and monitor weekly production and track manufacturing performance
• Complete and post monthly finished good cycle counts and audit/correct discrepancies
• Quarterly site visits to conduct audits and review performance
• Identify areas for optimization and cost savings
• Work with the purchasing team to ensure purchase orders meet production dates and material requirements
• Calculate the impact to supply associated with major events, transitions, and new and discontinued items
• Keep internal Quality Assurance records up to date and organized
• Standardize product quality specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and performance targets across R&D, suppliers and contract manufacturers
• Process work orders in Netsuite accurately and timely

Reporting & Analytics - 40%
• Responsible for creating and publishing weekly KPIs related to cost, production and production adherence
• Utilize ERP reporting and analytics to develop continuous improvement and process improvement initiatives
• Provide summary reporting as needed 

Commercialization - 20%
• Support the commercialization process of new SKUs with co-manufacturing partners
• Assist with the sourcing and onboarding process of new co-manufacturers
• Support the weekly project management meetings and task assignments

You have...

• Experience in a CPG (consumer packaged goods) organization
• Experience in a production management environment or managing third party production
• Experience using Netsuite (preferred) or another comparable ERP system
• A basic understanding of Google Docs, Excel and PowerPoint
• A basic understanding of inventory principles
• Excellent analytical, time management and problem-solving skills
